A New Song

Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the LORD our Maker. PSALM 95:6
You are God’s idea.
It is a simple idea, but profound when you fully grasp all that it means. You are His idea. He thought of you, created you, formed you, and designed you perfectly. He took the time to consider the color of your hair, the shape of your nose, and the sound of your voice. You are His idea.
When He looked at this generation, He decided what was really needed was you. Then He set about the task of designing you. He gave you the gifts that you have, exactly what you will need to fulfill His purpose for your life. You lack nothing that His grace cannot give you. He is incapable of mistakes—He has given or will give you everything you need to accomplish what lies before you.
The road ahead will be difficult. It will be fraught with hardship and heartache, personal and professional setbacks, and hurdles galore. But God knows about all those obstacles, and He has given you what you need to overcome them. In Him, you live and move and have your being. He will see you through. Through Him you can finish—and finish well.
He owns the trademark on you as well. This means that you are 100 percent His, whether you realize it or acknowledge it. In our economy, a person’s ideas and trademarks are worth more than hard assets. They are capital that pays huge dividends to its owners. In God’s economy, His ideas recognize Him as Creator and give Him the credit and worship and honor that He deserves.
You are God’s idea—and a good one, too. Think about it.
