“The growth of the city is the missional challenge of our generation. For the first time in history more than 50% of the world’s population lives in cities. That’s where the young, the poor, the unreached and the influential are most concentrated.”
-Redeemer City to City, Mission and Philosophy
“Redeemer City to City exists to help leaders build gospel movements in global cities.”
Over the past 12 years Redeemer City to City has helped plant 300 churches in 45 cities across the globe. It all started with the flagship church plant, Redeemer Presbyterian Church in New York City, pastored by Tim Keller. From there, their vision for the Gospel to reach and reform cities has spread to Amsterdam, Cape Town, Tokyo, Sydney, Moscow and beyond.
How does it work?
Redeemer City to City trains and networks church plant leaders, creates content for them to use, and financially supports churches to cover high startup costs. These new churches then come alongside existing plants within their city, and the number of those encountering the Gospel grows.
I love their global vision, their concept of leverage, and their understanding of stewardship. They are led by an incredible team, board, mission, and model. They are on the cutting edge of Gospel dialogue and movement.
Consider joining Redeemer City to City as they pioneer the great Gospel movement through cities.
